Announcedthisafternoon,thenetworkhasofficiallyrenewed“NCIS”foritsseventeenthseason.Thenewscomesafterstarandexecutiveproducer,MarkHarmon,signedanewdealwithCBStoreprisehisroleontheseries.

Initscurrentseason,“NCIS”hasbeenaveraging12.2millionviewersinthelive+samedayratings,makingitTV’ssecond-most-watchedscriptedseries,behindonly“TheBigBangTheory.”IthasremainedastrongperformerforCBS,inbothitsratingsandviewershipnumbers,andwaswidelyconsideredtobeastrongrenewalcontenderleadinguptotheannouncementtoday.
Withthisrenewal,“NCIS”nowjoins“YoungSheldon,”“Mom,”“CriminalMinds,”“GodFriendedMe,”“MagnumP.I.,”“FBI,”and“TheNeighborhood”onagrowinglistscriptedtitlesconfirmedtobereturningonCBSforthe2019-20season.
